The Ram was the sacred animal of the god Amun. Egyptian pharaohs were regarded as Amun’s son on earth. This belief was adopted bt the kings of Nubia, once a colony of Egypt. "Hemaris tityus - Шмелевидка скабиозовая или Бражник Титий" Представитель Семейства Sphingidae, Подсемейства Macroglossinae, рода Hemaris, видовая принадлежность - Hemaris tityus. Распространена особь практически по всему миру. Встречается на европейских территориях, в африканских регионах, в северных частях КНР. Выбирает для жизни поляны и топи с высокой влажностью. Личинка рогатая. Окрашена в зеленый цвет. Имеет рисунок в виде двух белых полос, расположенных на спине. В пищу использует полевые растения. Hemaris_tityus_shmelevidka_skabiozovaya_ili_brazhnik_titii1.jpg Бабочка небольшая. Крылья в размахе доходят до 4 сантиметров. Сами крылья полупрозрачные, с золотистым обрамлением. Тело толстое, полосатое, покрыто ворсом. Внешне напоминает шмеля, за что и получила свое название. Летает очень быстро, в сухую теплую погоду. Активность проявляет исключительно днем. Количество представителей вида постоянно сокращается.
