Priest's Effigy Though mostly a 19th century rebuilding St Peter's at Kineton is one of the most attractive buildings in South Warwickshire. The tower alone survives of the medieval building with an impressive 13th century doorway at it's base and a 15th century top with an elaborate restored parapet. The rest of the building was rebuilt by Sanderson Miller in 1755 and again in 1873-89, all in a beautifully warm toffee coloured ironstone. The church is entered from the west through an unusual tunnel (from 1755) in the base of the tower. Inside the fittings are mostly from the late 19th century rebuilding, with some delicate glass by Powell's of Whitefriars in the chancel. A few 18th century tablets line the walls but the most significant item is the (sadly worn) 14th century effigy of a priest in the north aisle.
